Chile welcomes this important event organized by ACHS together with Industrial Engineering School of Polytechnical University of Cataluña at Barcelona(Spain), Tampere University of Technology (Finland), Technical University of Delft (Netherlands) and Center for Industrial Ergonomics of University of Louisville (USA), offering entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, researchers and academics from Latin America the experiences and interaction with the most outstanding international specialists in occupational health and safety.

This Congress, linked to International Congresses on Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP), held in different Spanish cities and whose 4th version based in Sevilla in May 2006, summoned 1,965 participants from 32 countries, where 46 plenary conferences, 26 workshops, and 19 meeting points and 327 voluntary papers were presented.

Together with the plenary conferences of guest speakers invited to ORP 2007, voluntary research papers will be presented, awarding the best of these topics so that the author comes to expose it at ORP´2008 in Spain.

On behalf of the organizers, and considering the importance of the topics of this 5th International Congress in order to create healthy and safe occupational workplaces, we invite you to contribute technical research papers, as well as to participate actively in such important event which will allow you to get updated in the major world tendencies on occupational health and safety.
