Invitation

After the cellebration of its 50th anniversary, Asociación Chilena de Seguridad looks forward to the challenges which will take us into the next years in the search of new strategies for creating healthier and safer workplaces.

In the search for this quest, nothing seems to be more appropriate than gathering the most relevant representatives of the new global trends on occupational health and safety. For this reason, we announce the celebration of the Seventh International Conference on Occupational Risk Prevention ORP’2009, which will take place between November 24th and 26th, 2009, at Santiago de Chile.

Our country is again the host of this important event, co-organized with the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona (ETSEIB) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), the Tampere University of Technology (Finland), the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), the Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy) and the Industrial Engineering and Management Systems Research Center of the University of Central Florida (United States of America), offering to entrepreneurs, executives, professionals and researchers a single point for sharing experiences and establishing contact among the most relevant international specialists in occupational risk prevention and ergonomics.

This will be the seventh edition of the ORP Conferences, successfully being held along different Spanish cities since its first calling in 2000. The last of this took place in May, 2008, at A Corunna, gathering 1.605 people coming from 40 different countries, the presentation of 56 plenary sessions, 36 workshops, 150 scientific communications and 105 technical posters.

As the president of the Organization Committee, and taking into consideration the high relevancy of this Seventh International Conference in the definition of the new strategies for occupational health and safety in our even more challenging global environment, we kindly invite you to participate in the many activities we are carefully preparing.

Cordially,

EUGENIO HEIREMANS DESPOUY
Executive President
ASOCIACIÓN CHILENA DE SEGURIDAD
