On behalf of the Basque government, the Basque Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (OSALAN) is pleased to invite you to the 10th International Conference on Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP 2012) which will be held in Bilbao, Spain, on 23, 24 and 25 May 2012.

At OSALAN we are in the business of continuously improving Occupational Safety and Health. However, we are well aware that the way to improvement, namely Occupational Risk Prevention, must follow the same approach as other business objectives.

We strongly believe that it is essential to join forces, share opinions and find global solutions. For this reason, we would like you to participate in the analysis of Occupational Health and Safety problems, which involve an increasing number of variables. This Conference is a great opportunity to interact with multidisciplinary professionals in charge of the organization’s different departments. Sharing ideas and insights will help us come up with longer-lasting, more effective solutions and eliminate possible minor drawbacks caused by the implementation of risk prevention measures in companies.

In this sense, one of OSALAN’s main courses of action consists is the creation of the idea that Risk Prevention must not be the concern of experts but a collective task involving all stakeholder groups. In this context, we encourage you to participate in the Conference to share your experiences and research results in order to speed up the improvement of labour conditions and, in turn, of business competitivity.
